Roger Federer came through a pulsating final to win in five sets against Andy Roddick. Federers stamina and class shone through taking the final set 16 - 14. Roddick will rue the fact he missed an opportunity to take a two set lead in the second set and went on to lose the third. Remarkably Roddick came back to win the fourth breaking Federer. In fact Federer never broke Roddick until the final game of the final set. The master has now won 15 grand slam titles and is the most decorated player ever as Pete Sampras who previously held the record looked on.
